***BJ'S BREAKFAST CLUB HEADLINES/HIGHLIGHTS***
JANUARY 23, 2013
-- Lancaster County welcomed some good news yesterday. USA Field Hockey officially announced that it has partnered with Spooky Nook Sports to make Spooky Nook the home of the U.S. Women's National Team through 2022. The new sports complex in East Hempfield Township will host USA Field Hockey-sanctioned events beginning next year!
-- It looks as if Lititz may not only be the "coolest" town to live in around here but soon could be "America's Coolest Small Town" according to a national online contest run by budgettravel.com. Lititz is the only PA town of the 15 finalists. You still have time to vote (only once a day)...budgettravel.com...good luck, Lititz!
-- Flu cases are up BIG TIME around these parts this year. There has been a 95% increase in York City. We asked if healthcare professionals be required to get a flu shot....made for some interesting early morning banter. Facebook.com/rosebclub
-- Farmer Paul Zook of Upper Leacock Township has been charged shooting at an immature bald eagle. He faces fines up to $5,000. Again, we discussed....and debated briefly...was he aware of what he was shooting, or what he was up against etc? The guy was just trying to protect his chickens...cmon now. Chick-fil-a later...anyone?
-- Rose B-Club member Dennis received some good news yesterday. No surgery on either of his knees...he was "diagnosed" with loose knees....better than loose stools, right? Ewww.
Tomorrow....Thursday....sending the wrong signals?? We'll break it on down....all starts at 5am!
You're all absolutely, positively, on fire!
